About PES Hawaiian Mushrooms

Strain Specifications

The Hawaiian Cubensis is a very beautiful, stalky, picture perfect mushroom that would be a great candidate for a textbook image of Psilocybe Cubensis. It is not an extremely tall mushroom but it does have one of the wider caps in the species. Stalk is of medium thickness but fruits are more dense than average. Caps tend to be speckled with flakes which is a common Cubensis trait but seems to be more pronounced and stays with age with the Hawaiian Cubensis. This happens even more often on Hawaiians that grow on Dung.

Most people know the Panaeolus cyanescens as
The Hawaiian or the Copelandia. This strain from the Panaeolus cyanescens family also really comes from Hawaii.

All strains of the Panaeolus cyanescens grow best on a dung-based substrate. As spawn rye can be used. The cultivation of the Psilocybe cyanescens needs a bit more attention then the Psilocybe cubensis. It’s more sensitive to the right levels of fresh air, humidity and temperature. The fast growing mycelium of this specie does not colonize the substrate as heavily as the Psilocybe cubensis mushroom.

At thirty minutes, you’re starting to feel the kick. The light-fitting in front of you is round, unpeeling itself like an orange. It spurts yellow colours like ink from its edges, filling the room with the colour. The ink turns to sparks, fireworks erupting from the ceiling, bouncing off the walls. Somehow, you aren’t afraid.
