The Stain

One suggestion is that it could be Psilocybe samuiensis, also known as the Allen Strain, named after the ethno-mycologist John Allen. This strain was reportedly discovered growing in water buffalo dung on the island of Koh Samui in 1991. Another theory is that the Thai Elephant Dung strain could be related to other psychoactive species commonly found in Thailand, such as P. antillarum, Panaeolus cyanescens (also known as Blue Meanies), or Pan. tropicalis. These strains, often referred to as "zoo-doo," are known to spread through compost originating from the dung of elephants and hippopotamuses.
